Rotary kiln such as cement kiln, lime rotary kiln, and shaft kiln is widely used in building materials, the chemical industry, the nonferrous metallurgy industry, black metallurgy, and refractory materials. The rotary kiln’s support roller is an important module, and it has the character of a large bearing load, poor working environment, constant running, and complex maintenance. So, the right way to adjust the support roller is very important.

The support roller’s cost is expensive. Once the support roller is damaged, the whole kiln can’t normally work, causing huge economic damage. The damage of rotary kiln support roller is surface damage and roller damage. The surface damage is mainly to wear out; roller damage is the spoke and axle hole crazes. Therefore, in the design and production of the idler, it is required that the designed idler must work smoothly and safely under the required load. It is required that the inherent quality of the idler is high, especially since the hub is a dangerous fracture site. Repair welding is not allowed, so the casting is difficult and requires a high level of casting technology.

Roller Adjustment Aim

1. Keep the kiln cylinder‘s centerline a straight line.

2. Kiln cylinder can do normal reciprocation crossing the axis line.

3. Roller can evenly bear the load of the kiln.
